What Would Jesus Do?

Your attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ:
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God
something to be grasped, but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
(Philippians 02:11)

I have heard some of the youngsters wearing bracelets with WWJD printed on it. Never saw one of them and checked it out in the Google. The above one was one of the many images I found from my search. Very colourful and attractive bracelets in many different designs. Now what has that got to do with us. I came to know that the meaning of WWJD was "What Would Jesus Do?" and thus the reason for wearing those bracelets is to remind them the same.

In the New Testament, as we read the letter written by Paul and Timothy to all the saints in Christ Jesus at Philippi, we find them writing in the second chapter; verse eleven, "your attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ". As we go through the following verses in the chapter, we find that Paul and Timothy were concerned about mentioning the need to Imitate Christ's Humility. So, as a first step to learn and practice the humility which Jesus had, we should learn to think and decide in our daily life and in each step, with the attitude same as Jesus. In each and every decision we make we should learn to filter our thoughts and actions with Christ's humility shown to us. In each situation, whether it is a happy moment or a sad one, stressful or relaxed, beginning or the end, we should learn to think whether our attitude at that particular moment is same as that of Jesus Christ. It may be difficult and hard to learn; but the results of it are great.

In each situation, before we decide, speak and act, let us think "What Would Jesus Do" in such a situation? What would Jesus want me to do? What is the example He had shown me when He faced the same situation? What can I do now, if I wish to have the same attitude that of Jesus Christ and carry His humility in me?

God created you in His own image and gave you such a wonderful life, so that you can be an ambassador of His love and His grace in this world. Let us learn to live a spirit filled life which will keep us close to God and lead us into a daily pattern of life having the attitude the same as Jesus Christ and thus imitating Christ's Humility!

God bless you..
