Only The Lord's Plan Will Happen
Passage to be read: Proverbs 19
"People can make all kinds of plans,
but only the Lord's plan will happen"
(Proverbs 19: 21) NCV
This is something definite. This is one thing that we must be assured of. We have lot's of plans and dreams. We spend time and make each schedule, itinerary, budget and time-table, but let us know deep in our hearts that the Lord's plan for us alone will happen!
The bible definitely proclaims this without any doubt. Billions of human beings have lived on this earth, and they all had plans. They had their own drafted paper in hand while they journeyed through life. All of those papers had everything in detail. Where and when to go to a place, what to do there and how to do it, was clearly prescribed. But at the end of their lives, a lot of them have opened such maps and tables, and have realised it may haven't gone in the way they wanted it to. And we know the answer. Because only the Lord's plan would have happened at the end of it all.
Does this message disappoint you? Why does it disappoint you? Are your fingertips requesting you to once again check the verses just to make sure whether this is correct? Trying for another version of the bible which you think may agree with the plans that you have for yourself? May be, you just have to relax, contemplate and meditate with me for a while.
If this particular divine verse from the Bible had troubled you or had shocked you, then it's high time that you think of the decisions you have made. It is a warning for you to revise some of the plans you had made for yourself. Who would ever like to spend some valuable years of life on some mission that is not going to finally happen? Yes. You better revise. Think for a while why this verse had disappointed you. May be because you had your own plans! Plans that were made out of your little understandings; missions that were set out of the calculations of your own little head and heart. Was the Lord there in your planning and in that decision-making moment?
My dear friend in Christ Jesus. Let me earnestly ask you this question. Have you made your plans and decisions with the Lord? Were you at His feet, spending time at His presence, waiting to know whether He nods with a "yes" when you drafted these plans? Did you consult the greatest Consultant before you took the pen and paper? I am asking this, because if you would have done that right then, today this verse would be a joy instead of being a disappointment for you. If you would have made your decisions and set your plans while listening to His voice, then surely today you are on the right track; the Lord's plan and your mission that you are already into, will have the perfect synchronization. The Lord's plan that will finally happen and your schedule, itinerary, budget and time-table would be just the same! There is nothing much to worry.
You know that the plans God has for you are the best ones. You must know very well, that the Lord who perfectly knit you in your mother's womb is just behind you, checking out every little detail to ensure that you do what He has planned for you. You can totally trust in the Lord's plans for you. No other person in this world could ever provide you a better plan with all the necessary additions promised on the way, at the right time. Jeremiah 29: 11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Isn't that wonderful?
God's plans for us are always filled with His goodness. His everlasting, 'finally happening' plans are packages that have so much of good hope and future for you. So why not give Him that place in all your decision making?
I pray that today the Lord may meet you personally. Let His powerful movement in your life be felt. If you are having drafted plans and already moving missions that have no hope and future, today submit them in His presence. Let the Lord change things for you. Submit them totally into His hands. Let God fill those pages with the wonderful plans He has for you.
If you are about to make decisions and draft few plans very soon, I urge you my friend, to spend time in the Lord's presence, and ensure that the Lord's plans are your plans! Let there be a perfect synchronization between God's mighty plans for you and your obedience to it. Let your intimacy with God grow day by day, so that minute by minute, you begin to listen to His voice, and keep every single step according to His will. You can be assured that, when you do this, you are surely heading towards the plan that is finally going to happen.
God's plans for us are full of hope and future. Let us remember that as we continue to adhere to His wonderful way for us. I also pray that the Holy Spirit would guide you through every plans of the Lord, through Christ Jesus, and make you always a strong believer of the Lord's mighty plans. May your life glorify the Lord.
May God bless you.
Yours in Christ,
