God of Marvellous Plans

Passage to be read: Ephesians 3

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, 

according to His power that is at work within us to Him 

be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, 

for ever and ever! Amen.
(Ephesians 3:20,21)

As human beings with a need, we have always had a natural instinct to ask - we have been doing this right from the time when we were a baby. And then, as we grew up, our thoughts went beyond what we needed and we began to imagine. And right from there, we began to ask and imagine. 

We ask of things that are readily available in the surrounding. The physical presence just ensures us that it could be claimed and we could own it. And we imagine things, that may not be readily available and physically present, but could exist in our own mental world. And we are joyful when we claim and receive these things that we may need. 

But, let me ask you something beyond all this. What if someone gives you immeasurably more than what you have asked or imagined? What if the dimensions that you drew for your claims and requests are nowhere near to the magnitude of things that have been showered on you? What would you call it when you've imagined of things within your human mind's limits and there was someone else who was imagining about things further? How would your reaction be when you receive blessings in multiples, numbers that you had no clue about? And, I would say, these would be the marvellous plans of God for those who trust in Him and Him alone!

The plans that we draw for our own lives, and what we ask and imagine, are always smaller and less than the plans of God. We ask of things that qualify our mental calculations. And we imagine things that are humanly possible. Seldom that we go further because of our own limitations. We never imagine beyond what we could, because we look at the feasibility. But let me challenge you on this beautiful day, that God is able to do the impossible in your life! His plans are greater and bigger than what we have set for our own lives. God is not bound by limitations and His thoughts never imagined because everything is possible for Him! Nothing is impossible to God. Your plans are may be bound by a pencil and a paper, but for God it is limitless. 

God's power is great and when God begins to do things in our lives according to His power, the measurements are limitless. All that we need to do is trust Him - trust Him in every step and trust Him with our every need. Trust Him in things that we want. And as we trust Him, we can look forward to God in blessing us with things that are beyond our human limitations. 

Today, I especially want to encourage you to submit your plans to God through Christ Jesus. Surrendering our wants and desires and asking God to lead us, is a way of ensuring that we live God's purpose on this earth. Your faith matters. As you submit and wait for His answer, trust Him with all you've asked and imagined. Our God is able, and He is a God of Marvellous Plans! Let me encourage you to seek God. He will bless you tremendously more than what you have asked for. Immeasurable blessings of more than what you could ask or imagine! Submit yourselves, your plans and your imaginations and ask God to take over. I know, in faith, the rest is a victorious history.

I pray that you may submit yourself in front of God, and may you let God do the best for you. May the Christ Jesus help you to be strong and hold on to the faith you establish in God and may the Holy Spirit guide you towards a walk of faith that totaly trusts in God for your future and all the plans for your life.
