God's Answer Will Embolden Us

Today’s Bible Verse
"When I called, you answered me;
you greatly emboldened me."
(Psalm 138: 03) NIV

You may have been praying for something, for so long. You may also know that the Lord will answer one day. However, you have become tired. It may not be because you have begun to lose faith, or the wait has been too long, but you have been enduring so much during this long wait. While you have been waiting on the Lord for the answer, you have also realised that one after the other, there have been so many problems and difficulties that you had to face. You may have become weak by facing all these strong winds of life that have been hitting on you so hard. However, you are still waiting for God to answer...

Our God our Lord knows that we have been praying, and He knows very well that we have become weak from all the troubles that we had faced while we waited for His answer. And, let us remember that the Lord, when He answers, He is also going to embolden us with His strength! Yes... This is true in the lived experiences of David and he shares this truth with us.  In Psalm 138: 03, David says to the Lord, "When I called, you answered me; you greatly emboldened me." Since I was fascinated by the word "embolden" that I read in the NIV version of this Psalm, I tried to have a deeper understanding of this. This led me to the understanding that the Lord's answer does not only meet our needs and give us what we asked for according to His will, but it also gives us the 'courage to do something.'

Today, this Psalm promises something important in our walk of faith. As we stand before the Lord, waiting for His answer to our prayers, let us remember that His answer is going to be something that will embolden us, strengthen us, provide us with the courage to do something new and empower us to walk further in faith. In spite of our weakness, loss, muteness and spiritual feebleness, God's answer will come into our lives as a breakthrough that will change our lives towards spiritual betterment and a victorious life. Let us not lose hope in the midst of all the weaknesses. Surely the Lord will answer, and His answer will also embolden us.

May the blessings of God the Father, the love and grace of Christ Jesus the Son, and the fellowship and guidance of the Holy Spirit, be with us as we continue to seek Him.

May God bless you.

Yours in Christ,
