God Answers Us in Amazing Ways
Passage to be read: Psalm 65: 1-8
"Happy are the people you choose and invite to stay in your court.
We are filled with good things in your house, your holy temple.
You answer us in amazing ways, God our Savior."
(Psalm 65: 4,5)
One amazing day, while I was a post-graduate student at Christ University, Bangalore, I had joined with some of my "youth-friends" at church on a long bike ride. I was seated on the pillion while my friend Mike was riding. Other friends who were part of this bike ride were ahead of us.
As we began to get out of the busy traffic of the tech-city, we came across a road, where we passed by a temple, a shrine and a mosque within the same region. My heart just asked a thrilling question; a bike-ride conversation with God, seated behind a serious rider. "God, out of all these faiths, why did I choose you? What made me choose you as my only belief? How come my heart never even chose to seek any other?" These unexpected questions that came from my heart troubled me.
Not even three minutes, we paused at the next traffic signal at the next junction. For my surprise, there was a Toyota-Innova right in front of us, and there was something written on the back windshield of that vehicle. Trust me, this amazing answer that God gave me, just changed my entire life.
It said, "You did not choose Me, but I chose you..." (John 15:16)!
Our God lives, and He knows what comes out of the human minds, and more than anything, He answers us in amazing ways; ways that our minds never expected to be; ways that our hearts never imagined of. Yes, God answers!
Reading through Psalm 65: 1-8 we find that God has chosen us to stay in His court, within His protection, within His arms, where we stand in belief that God will answer us. We are chosen by God to be assured of His answer, and God indeed answers our prayers, every yearning of our heart if it is promised within His greater plan for us.
Right now, somewhere in this world, there are many who are waiting for God's answers. A child would be waiting for God's answer so that her lost father would return home, a young couple would be waiting for God's answer in their life since they have been praying for the last few years for a baby and God is yet to answer, a young man who is anxiously waiting for the answer from God since he has applied for a job and an old mother waits for God's answer with tears since she had just given samples from the tumors growing in her womb for testing. We are waiting for God's answer.
But my dear friend in Christ, if you are also waiting for an answer from God, let me tell you this beautiful thing. Our God who answers us in amazing ways, has an answer for you too. He will surely provide you the way, the key to open the door. God will stand with you in the midst of the storms of your life, and He will guard you until you realise that God has answered in the most amazing way. Each and every yearning of your heart is there in God's precious list. And whichever He feels is the best thing to be given to you, God provides it in the most amazing way.
Do you remember some of the most amazing ways in which God answered his children's prayer? Read once again the same passage Psalm 65: 1-8, and you will realise that our Lord Jesus has proven himself to be faithful and true, and you can wait for His answer that would be given to you in the most amazing way.
Verse 7 says, "You stopped the roaring seas, the roaring waves,
and the uproar of the nations.
Even those people at the ends of the earth fear your miracles.
You are praised from where the sun rises to where it sets."
How great is that. We are trusting and waiting on our God for His answers in the amazing ways, our God who is wrapped with strength to deliver and clothed with power to change things for us. Still, He cares for the slightest doubt that grows in us, and the smallest belief that would strengthen us.
I pray that God will lead everyone of us to seek Him with all the trust and belief. We must wait for God to answer us in the most amazing ways, according to the plans He has for us; the greater plan. I can assure you, our God will answer us in the most amazing ways.
May God bless you and answer you in amazing ways.
Yours in Christ,
