Don't be ashamed of Jesus

"I tell you, all those who stand before others and say they believe in me, 

I, the Son of Man, will say before the angels of God,

that they belong to me."

                In the middle of the friendly discussions that we take part in our daily life, there comes that precious moment when your proclamation would change somebody's life. You would have got this urge to share your testimony; to proclaim how amazing God has been in your life; how precious is the love of Jesus that has led you this far. But you keep it to yourself. Why is that? Does it feel awkward to pronounce your saviour's name by your lips and to say how awesome he is in your life?

            Something that is worth pondering on, my dear friend. Why is that you are holding back? What possible point makes you feel that your Jesus is less than anyone? Why don't you bring that mighty name in the midst of this discussion that is on the heroes that people admire; the man made heroes. Do you feel awkward? Do you say to yourself, "why should I bring in this 'Jesus topic' into this?" Yes, my friend, there's no excuse! You better tell about his love wherever and whenever possible.

                I'm sure, you would have come across discussions and chats where your friends or colleagues would turn up with amazing stories about who their heroes and what little impossibilities to the human ability were possible with them. They would even continue to say how their faith in that particular person grew day by day, as they kept following this person. And I am also sure, that your heart would have been throbbing to tell of the marvelous joy and peace in your heart and the reason for that; Jesus! But, did you struggle to bring up your side of story and found it awkward to share with your friends and colleagues of your strong belief in Christ Jesus? Time to change...

              Today if you could do this, how amazing it could be for you. Today if you could stand before this little group of friends or colleagues and say that you believe in Jesus, how wonderful is that going to be when you stand one day before the angels of God; in God's glorious presence. Guess what? Jesus, the Son of Man, is going to say before these angels of God that you belong to Him. 

             Which one would you choose? You know, what I'm asking is not an easy thing in your 'practical life'. But my friend, let me ask you something. Why don't you realise that your Jesus is already part of  every single section of your 'practical life'? Don't you think then the way we look at this whole awkwardness is going to change?

              In every moment, in any place, in whatever situation it may be, learn to enjoy the presence of your Lord Jesus Christ that's with you. The more and more you realise this and enjoy his presence, the more you will understand how amazingly he is applicable in every part of your 'practical life'. And there you go, you would never tend to keep this secret within you. You would begin to enjoy telling others that you believe in Jesus for everything in your life.

               I pray, my dear friend, that you will never again miss an opportunity to share your faith with someone, that you will never feel awkward to bring in the Jesus-topic into whatever the discussion it may be, and also that you would stand firm with your head held high when you say to others, that you believe in Him! One day, Christ Jesus, in all his glory, is going to stand by you and say to the hosts of heaven, that you belong to Him! Who would dare to miss this?
