The Lord's Love Fills the Earth

"God’s word is true,
and everything he does is right.
He loves what is right and fair;
the Lord’s love fills the earth."
(Psalm 33: 4-5)

As the world around us is drowned in fear, we are reminded of the special and extravagant love of God. As people who find hope and life in the Lord, we are called to be reflecting this love that the Lord our God shows in this world. We find this love in the promises of the Lord, given in abundance, to all those on this earth. Today, as we are seeking the presence and help of God in the midst of this world calamity, let us remember this love of the Lord that fills every part of the world.

The various disastrous events that have been taking place globally since the beginning of this year 2020 have led all of us into the ever-increasing fear. Various experts are coming up with numerous solutions to configure the sudden imbalance in the world. There are so many international agencies that are negotiating to synchronize the management to cope with these natural and man-made disasters and calamities. But one thing that is lacking in the midst of all these giant steps is the love towards one another. As we work together to respond to this urgent situation of the world, there is a need to care for each other through the love that we have for one another.

Today, as we pray from the different parts of the world for the world healing from the CoronaVirus Pandemic 2020, I want to encourage you all to be assured of God's unfailing love on this earth that He has created. This love of God on all of us was expressed through Jesus Christ and through the assurance of the Holy Spirit.

Whatever the worse condition it could be, God's love is still on this earth and He is powerful to heal. Even in the places wherever humanity may fail right now, let us remember, that the Lord's love fills everything and makes it full. God's abundant love is over this earth. So let us not lose faith and hope. Let us be responsible ambassadors of God's love in this world and join hands together to be hopeful of a great world healing that God would bring on this struggling earth.

None of us, at the beginning of this year 2020, would have imagined this urgent shutdown. The situations may be shocking to us. The news may be leading us into a feeling of being lost into this world calamity. It's true that we are part of this world and, indeed, these situations will have a great influence on us too. But in the midst of all the distress and fear, let us not forget that our hope is in the Lord because His love fills the earth.

Let us keep God's love for this earth in our minds as we continue to pray for the betterment of the lives of those many thousands who are infected by this pandemic and for the comfort of those families that have already lost their members due to this. Let us also not forget that there are many other reasons by which people die every day in this world and the present condition is filled with urgency and anxiety. Let us look to the Throne of Grace and pray earnestly for the world to recover. May God's unfailing love be upon all of us.

May God bless you.

Yours in Christ,
