God of Answered Prayers

Passage to read: Zechariah 13: 07 - 09

"They will call on my name, and I will answer them;
I will say, 'they are my people.'
And they will say, 'the Lord is our God.'
(Zechariah 13: 09 b)

Our God is a God of great answers. Whoever believes in Him, call unto Him and God answers their prayer. Today, as you begin to read this message, you may be having numerous questions deep down in your heart. And these may be questions due to the failures, unsuccessful attempts, broken relationships, unexpected loss of your beloved ones and many more. But, in whichever position you are today, I just want to encourage you to look to God for the great answers.

There are so many questions which we go in search for answers. We approach our friends, relatives, we search for them in the books, websites and then we also call on the experts! To many of them, we find the answers. But, deep down in our hearts, behind the masks of smiles that we put on our faces, still there are numerous questions to be answered. There are many unanswered yearnings, many whispers of prayers that await an answer. And where do we find the answer? Who has got these answers?

In Zechariah 13: 9, God says, "They will call on my name, and I will answer them." Wow. Isn't that wonderful? Yes. The answer is with God. All that we need to do is, we need to call on His name! When we call on Jesus's name, God answers our prayers. I am a witness for this, and hope and pray that God will make you too.

The most beautiful part of God's great answers is the relationship which gets strengthened with each answered prayer. God just loves it when His child is stepping into a closer walk with Him. He enjoys the trust that His child begins to build on Him. And with each of His answer to our prayers, there is a beautiful relationship that becomes stronger and greater. Look at the assurance that God gives for this stronger relationship with Him - He says, I will say, 'they are my people.' And they will say, 'the Lord is our God' (Zechariah 13: 09 b). Are you able to realise the growth of the relationship God loves to express with each answered prayer? And that is why we should call on His name. Not only because our prayers would be answered, but also for our relationship with Him would become stronger.

Imagine the moments when you asked for something from someone specific and they gave what you asked for. Do you realise how much you would begin to trust them the next time you want something? Yes. And you know that this relationship is growing because you asked on that specific person's name believing that this capable of granting that, and you got it. How much more will it be when you trust God and ask Him. How much more happiness and peace would rule your mind, soul and body when you know that the Lord your God is able to grant your desires and ask Him.

Today, you can call on the Lord's name! And I am sure, that He will answer your prayer. We know what follows. The whole purpose of God's answered prayer is not for the sake of giving you what you wanted, but more than that, the intimate and growing relationship that God wants with you. He just wants to enjoy the space between Him and you becoming smaller as you keep every step in your walk of faith. And God will say that you belong to Him and you will say that the Lord is your God. This is the invitation. God's answers in our lives are greater than we imagined because His love towards us is much greater than we ever wondered it to be.

I pray that we will learn to call on God's name, and be assured that He will answer us. And I also hope and pray in faith, that more than these answered prayers, our relationship with God will become greater through our Lord Jesus and with the help of the Holy Spirit.

God of great answers is waiting for you to have the greatest relationship ever in your life.

May God bless you.

Yours in Christ,
